Hello! My name is Airat.

Along with my good friend I have decided to arrange and expedition across Russia for everyone, who would like to see our country with his own eyes, visit interesting but little known places, see the beauty of nature, learn about the way of life of Russian people, have a rest in a good company and make friends along the way.

The expedition will include 16 people. We shall travel by 2 cars and start our way from St.Petersburg. Then our route will go through Karelia, the lake of Onega, the Central part of Russia, the Ural mountains, Siberia, the Altai mountains and the lake of Baikal.

We will stop at every nice little town, meet local people and just spend some time with them. Moreover - in many cities we shall be met by our good friends who will show us their place. We shall visit interesting museums and exhibitions, walk around the cities, have fun with our friends.

You can write me team@grandrussiatour.ru, or make comments :):):)

Unlimited Complimentary Cruises as INCENTIVE for Agents [03 Nov 2005|06:52pm]

heavyinmyhands
Hey to everyone in this community.

Just want to introduce myself. My name is Melissa and I'm from Philadelphia, just moved here in June.

This is a REALLY great way for Travel Agents to gain more customers!

The company I work for offers this really amazing deal called the Premiere Package where you pay a one time fee of $4000 dollars, yes I know that sounds like a lot, and you get a membership.

With a membership you can give away UNLIMITED [yes unlimited] cruises, domestic AND international on Carnival and Royal Caribbean ships. You will ALSO recieve, in addition to saving money, 20 Membership DISCOUNT cards.

Now you can tell your customers, ok you book a trip with me and I will give you a complimentary EXTRA trip, just for booking with me. Word of mouth is the BEST form of advertisement so this WILL help you gain sales. A lot of real estate agents and car salesmen are doing this as well with our company.

If you would like me to email you the details including the destinations to choose from, please email me at coastaldirectormelissa@gmail.com OR just comment to this reply.

also, once you have a membership, you can take yourself, friends and family members as well. they're included.

Thank you for your time!

East African safari [01 Jul 2004|09:11pm]

I don't know if this is allowed here, I'm not a travel agent, I just travel a lot. I have a friend who was in Peace Corps with me who now runs a great safari company in Kenya. If any of you folks are sending people that way, his company is a great way to share culture and get people to see the communities while traveling. The website is www.trekkingwarrior.com. I went with some pretty shady companies and there are more out there, so it's always good to know a reputable one...

Thanks! Sarah

Edit: also Deaf friendly!

What's it like as a career? [22 May 2004|08:56pm]

I've been a tour guide, but when disability killed the walking part of my future in walking tours, I've been looking at other things to perhaps do. And I've been finding that there are soooo few travel agents who are really up on the issues of disabled travel, so I have to do virtually everything myself anyway. (Am currently on the other side of the world from my residence, in Australia the past two weeks but I live in London. Going to Singapore next week...)

Does anyone here work as an independent travel agent? I don't mean like those scams to get a card just so you can get cheap flights but real work with real clients. I'm very tempted to set up as a part time independent agent specializing in disabled travel, but have nooooo idea how one would go about that or whether it would be worthwhile financially. (I currently don't work since I can't find a work-from-home job, so it's not like I would be giving up another salary, just that I presume there are heavy costs involved in starting up.)

I'm also working on writing travel guidebooks, but to be honest I've been working on them for years and never finish, then by the time I get back to it all the info is out of date, so it's a never ending cycle. I hope that this will be the year that I do get something out, even if it's just a good website. But I do arrange travel for dozens of friends and most of my family by knowing several dozen travel websites intimately, and have quite a reputation for travel agenting even though I'm not really a travel agent.

Anyway, any advice/information would be appreciated!
